Bonus campaigns for the moments that matter.
Schedule double-points weekends, seasonal pushes, VIP-only events, or high-value-order bonuses. Draft, schedule, clone, archive — and run different campaigns per market.
Double points weekend
What it is
A bonus campaign is a time-boxed change to your earning rules: for a defined window, some or all customers earn more, or earn on something they normally wouldn't. It's how you turn a loyalty program from a static perk into a lever you can pull around sales, launches, and slow seasons.
In Charm a campaign has a start and end date, a status workflow, and an audience — and it composes with your permanent rules rather than replacing them. When the window closes, earning returns to normal automatically; nothing to remember to switch off.
How it works
Four moving parts.
The configuration surface is small on purpose. Most stores set this up in one sitting.
- 01
Pick the bonus and the window
Start from a template — VIP tier bonus, high-value order bonus, or a redemption-tag campaign — or build your own. Set the start and end dates and the multiplier or bonus the campaign applies.
Because campaigns layer on top of your base rules, a double-points weekend is exactly that: every existing earning rule pays out at 2× for the window, then reverts on its own.
- 02
Target who sees it
Scope a campaign to everyone, or to a single VIP tier for member-only events. Tier-scoped bonuses are a low-cost way to make status feel valuable without a permanent giveaway.
Campaigns are per-locale aware via Shopify Markets, so you can run a Black Friday push in one market and a quiet week in another without cross-contaminating the offer.
- 03
Manage the lifecycle
Every campaign moves through a clear status workflow — draft, scheduled, active, ended, cancelled — so it's always obvious what's live now, what's queued, and what's finished.
Schedule ahead of time and a campaign flips itself to active on the start date and to ended on the close date. Cancel a scheduled or active campaign at any point without touching your permanent rules.
- 04
Clone and repeat
Recurring moments — every payday weekend, every seasonal drop — don't need rebuilding. Clone a finished campaign, adjust the dates, and schedule the next run in seconds.
Archived campaigns stay on record, so you can look back at what you ran last Black Friday and repeat what worked.
Examples
Three configurations to steal.
Ready-to-copy patterns we see in production. Tune the numbers to your margin and audience.
Double-points weekend
A Fri–Sun window at 2× on every earning rule. The simplest campaign, and the one that reliably lifts weekend order volume.
High-value order bonus
Extra points on orders above a threshold for a launch week — pushes AOV exactly when you want the halo effect.
Gold-tier early access
A VIP-only bonus scoped to your top tier during a drop. Makes the tier feel earned without a permanent discount.
Use cases
What it looks like in the wild.
Apparel: seasonal drops
Schedule a bonus-points window around each drop so loyalty amplifies the launch instead of sitting idle between them.
DTC beauty: payday pushes
Clone a double-points weekend to run every payday — recurring demand, built once and rescheduled in seconds.
F&B: slow-week rescue
Spin up a short high-value-order bonus to smooth a predictably quiet week without cutting your everyday margin.
