Fixes

Right balances, right languages, quiet imports

A round of refinements across emails, imports and settings.

The welcome email shows the balance with the bonus. When a signup bonus is paid as the account is created, Charm credits it first, so the welcome email shows the starting balance with the bonus included.

Referrers get emails in their own language. Emails to the customer who shared a referral link use the referrer's own language, or your store's default language when Charm doesn't know it.

Imported order history stays quiet. An order imported into Shopify from another platform keeps the day it was really placed as its processed date, and Charm reads that date: orders from before your program went live earn nothing, orders from before you installed Charm don't start a paid membership, and orders backdated into an earlier month don't count toward your plan.

Copies between stores keep every switch. Importing VIP tiers from another store, and Undo import, leave this store's program switches the way you set them.

Your email edits and your tone of voice reach customers. Charm saves only the email texts you change. Every other line keeps Charm's default wording in your tone of voice and picks up later wording improvements, and labels such as your balance and the next reward follow your tone too. Text you write for your store's default language reaches the customers who read it, and your edits to the batched reward email are saved with the template.

Portuguese emails read European. Email texts and labels in Portuguese read European Portuguese, and Brazilian Portuguese keeps its own. The "Ready to redeem" line in the next-reward box speaks all 35 languages.

Storefront wording, language by language.

  • The invitation to join reads naturally when your program uses the default name.
  • Many greetings and prompts in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Romanian and other languages address the shopper, and the friend they refer, in gender-neutral wording.
  • Hundreds of lines in languages with formal and casual address follow the tone of voice you picked.

Also improved.

  • Help text shows under fields across the admin, with clearer wording in eleven places.
  • Most common animal in pet analytics names the animal with the most pets, and the list below it runs from the most common down.
  • The email editor preview shows Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese labels in their own language.
  • The landing page editor's tier preview writes the multiplier line in your store's languages.
