Tone of voice, now per language

Tone of voice, now per language

The Tone of voice switch picked one register for your whole store. That's right until it isn't. Plenty of brands are casual in their home market but keep German customers on Sie, or run Spanish on usted while their English stays relaxed.

You can now set exceptions per language:

  • Edit next to the Tone of voice switch opens a per-language list with every published language, pre-filled with your brand-wide choice
  • Each language shows its own real optionsSie / du on the German row, vykání / tykání on the Czech one, plain formal / casual for English. No language is offered a distinction it doesn't have
  • Exceptions are visible at a glance — the main switch reads with exceptions and the summary underneath lists which languages speak formally and which casually
  • Reversible by design — flip a language back to the brand's side and the exception disappears; Reset to default clears them all

As always, wording you've customized yourself is never touched. The switch and its exceptions only ever reflow the default copy.
