Improvements

Charm got a lot lighter, and a lot faster

Speed work, on both sides of the app.

  • Your storefront carries far less weight. Charm now loads only what a page actually uses. A product page showing "earn 50 points" no longer pays for the whole widget, and if you don't run the floating launcher, Charm sits almost entirely idle until a shopper needs it. Faster pages, better Core Web Vitals, nothing to configure
  • The Charm admin opens noticeably faster. It used to load every language it ships in on every screen. Now it loads yours
  • Busy stores stay steady. A number of behind-the-scenes changes mean a sudden burst of traffic or of Shopify requests no longer slows the app down for anyone else
  • A security update applied. Shopify published a fix in the framework Charm is built on; we upgraded the same week it landed
  • A What's new tab inside the app. Release notes now show up in Charm's help widget, so you don't have to come here to see what changed

Nothing to switch on, and nothing looks different — it just runs better.
