See which partners bring new customers
A partner whose code mostly goes to people who already shop with you brings less than one who brings buyers you have never seen. Charm now shows you which is which for every affiliate partner.
First purchase or returning customer. Each partner order is marked as the buyer's first purchase in your store or an order from a returning customer, counted the same way Shopify Analytics splits new and returning customers. New orders are checked within an hour, and orders you imported from your previous affiliate app count too.
New customers. How many of a partner's orders were a first purchase, for example 9 of 12 (75 %). The partner list under Program → Affiliate partners has it as a column.
New customer sales. What those first purchases brought in, and their share of everything the partner sold.
Cost per new customer. The commission on the partner's orders divided by the new customers they brought. Refunds lower it.
The Affiliate programme card adds all three up across your partners. A partner's page shows them for every order the partner has brought you, history from your previous app included, and the new customers for the period you choose next to clicks and conversion. In the partner's order list, a first purchase carries a quiet New customer note.
In the export. The commissions CSV has a new customer_type column with
new or returning.
