Points that expire now really expire, and a nudge before a customer misses a tier
Three things that had been half-finished are now whole.
- Points expiry is enforced. If you set points to expire, Charm warned customers but never actually took the points away — so the balance on screen and the liability on your books kept growing. Expired points are now deducted on schedule, and customers still get their warning email first. If you don't use expiry, nothing changes
- "You're close to the next tier." A new notification tells a customer when they're within reach of the next VIP tier — you choose how close. It goes out as a Charm email, and it's available as a Shopify Flow trigger if you'd rather build your own
- VIP tiers can gate content too. Members-only pages, products and collections could already be locked behind a paid membership; now a VIP tier can be the key as well. Reach a tier, the door opens; drop out of it, and it closes on its own
