Paid memberships: plan cards everywhere, their own multiplier and plan switching
Paid memberships get the tools to sell a plan and to keep members on it.
Each plan has its own points multiplier. A membership now carries a Points multiplier, the same field VIP tiers have, so Monthly can earn ×1.5 and Yearly ×2. When a member's tier multiplies too, the higher of the two applies: Silver at ×1.25 plus Yearly at ×2 earns ×2. The points-earned email, the order history, the cart and product estimates all quote the same figure, and the membership block on the product page leads its perk list with it.
Keep the multiplier with a purchase. Set Keep the multiplier with a purchase every (months) and a member who hasn't ordered for longer earns the lower Multiplier when inactive on their next order. The full multiplier returns from the order after. At 0, the default, the multiplier always applies.
Plan cards for every visitor. The plans now show to every visitor, member or not. Each card has the price per period, the monthly equivalent, the perks and a line on when the plan pays for itself, such as "Pays for itself from $125 in orders a month". Its button opens the plan's own variant.
A Memberships block for the landing page. Add Landing: Memberships in the theme editor and choose Plan cards or a Comparison table, with an optional "Without membership" column. A member sees "Current plan" on their own plan; a lapsed member sees when it ended and how to rejoin. Edit the heading and subtitle under Visibility → Landing page.
In the Loyalty Hub and the widget. The Loyalty Hub shows the plan cards right under the section heading; a member sees their own plan instead, with its status, renewal date and member-since date. In the widget the membership card reads "From $8.25 a month", and the plan view switches between Monthly and Yearly.
Highlight as best value. With two or more plans, switch on Highlight as best value on one of them. It gets a "Best value" badge and an accent edge on the landing page, in the Loyalty Hub and in the widget, and opens first in the widget.
Show the payoff, or leave it out. Show when the plan pays for itself is on by default, per plan. Turn it off and the payoff line disappears from that plan on every surface, the comparison table included.
Members switch plans from the hub. A member on an auto-renewing plan can switch to another plan from the Loyalty Hub. The new plan starts at the next renewal and nothing is charged today. Until then the hub shows "Switching to Yearly on 1 November", with Undo.
Store credit on the member's birthday. The new Birthday store credit perk adds an amount of store credit on the member's birthday, say $10 on Monthly and $15 on Yearly, with an optional expiry. It's paid once a year to members whose birthday is on file, on top of your birthday bonus, and a customer with the perk from two places gets the larger amount. The Store credit earned email tells them. VIP tiers can offer it too.
Monthly store credit, per plan. The Monthly store credit perk has a Credit per billing cycle field in the membership editor: every successful renewal adds that amount to the member's store credit.
