Charm now lets you sell a paid membership — a VIP plan customers buy rather than earn. Member perks stack on top of the free loyalty program and your VIP tiers, settled by the same checkout engine, with no platform cut on the revenue.

Sell it as a product

A membership is just a Shopify product. Link a plan to any product, or pin it to a single variant when you sell several plans (monthly vs annual, Silver vs Gold) on one page — the plan inherits that variant's price. Plans are one-time or fixed-term today; auto-renewing subscription billing is in build.

Perks that stack on tiers

Memberships carry the same perk vocabulary as VIP tiers — free or discounted shipping, a point multiplier, member-only discounts, custom benefit cards — and resolve through the same checkout discount Function. A paying member who is also Gold gets both, compounded, with no double-charging.

Built to convert and to measure

• A product-page block presents the plan to shoppers and shows "you're a member" once they own it
• The floating widget upsells the plan to non-members and summarizes it for members
• Analytics track membership revenue (lifetime and active), not just member counts
• Membership fees are auto-excluded from point earning, so a plan never circularly earns against its own multiplier
