Moving a customer up a tier by hand now counts
Promoting a loyal customer by hand now works the way earning the tier does.
Change tier is a real promotion. Moving a customer up from their customer page now does what earning the tier does: the tier's one-time bonus points and gift codes are issued, and the new tier reaches your connected email platforms and the customer tags Charm keeps in Shopify. Moving someone down removes the ongoing perks straight away and leaves the one-time gifts they already received. If you want those back, reverse the code or adjust the points yourself.
Tell them. When you move a customer up, a checkbox offers to send the New tier achieved email. The confirmation says whether it went out, and if it didn't, why: no email address, customer emails turned off, that email turned off, an address that bounced or unsubscribed, or the same email already sent in the last 24 hours.
Approaching next tier, reliably. The nudge goes out when a member gets close to the next tier, and a send that fails is tried again at the next check.
Tier names in the customer's language. Both tier emails now use the tier name translated for the customer, as the widget and POS already did. A store that names its tiers in its own language and adds English translations shows each customer the name in their own language.
Your benefit wording sticks. A tier benefit you renamed in your store's language now appears to customers exactly as you wrote it, and it stays that way after the next save.
