Four new ways to say "this shouldn't earn points"
Eligibility used to work at the level of single products and tags. It now understands the four cases merchants kept working around by hand.
- Exclude a whole collection. Pick collections instead of adding products one by one — your sale collection stops earning the moment something lands in it, and starts again when it leaves
- Gift cards. Buying a gift card moves money into store credit; it isn't a sale. Turn this on and the purchase earns nothing, while the order the card later pays for still earns on its own — no more double-paying for the same money
- Discounted items. Anything sold below its compare-at price earns nothing, and the rest of the order earns normally. Margin protection without maintaining an exclusion list
- Subscription renewals. Automatic renewal orders stop earning, while the first order the customer places at checkout still does — reward the decision to subscribe, not the recurring charge
Alongside them, reward codes get their own switch: Limit reward codes to one-time purchases keeps newly issued codes off subscription orders. It sits with the rest of the code behaviour under Settings → Reward discount codes, and codes already in customers' hands keep working exactly as they were issued.
Everything here is off by default. Nothing changes in your program until you turn it on.
