Child birthdays: a reward parents plan around
For a toy, clothing or baby store, the most important birthday in the house is rarely the customer's own. Now your program knows the date that matters.
Parents add their children. Add Celebrate a child's birthday to your ways to earn, and parents can register their children in the floating widget, on your loyalty page or in the account Loyalty Hub: a name or nickname and a birthday. The first time, they confirm they are the child's parent or legal guardian. They are asked once, not for every child.
A reward in time for the party. Each child earns its own reward: bonus points, a free product, an amount or percentage off, or free shipping, delivered with the new Child's Birthday Reward email. It goes out 14 days before the birthday by default, so there is time to order the gift. Parents see on every child when the next reward arrives.
You decide the age range. Reward birthdays up to this age sets the last birthday that earns a reward, 12 by default. Ask for the birth year is on by default and gives you age groups in analytics. Turn it off and only the day and month are stored.
Hard to game, easy on data. Children per customer caps how many children one customer can collect for. Child must be on file in advance makes a new child wait before the first reward, and a saved birthday stays locked for a year. Once a child outgrows the program, the record deletes itself, and parents can remove a child at any time.
Know your parents. The Customers tab in Analytics gains a Children card: how many customers are parents, how many birthdays fall in the next 30 days, and the largest age group. Children also show on the customer page, where your team can add, correct or remove them and see when the parent gave consent.
