Cashback store credit with an expiry date

Cashback credit that nobody spends sits on your books for ever. You can now give it a deadline, the same way store-credit rewards already could.

A switch where you set the cashback. The Store credit cashback perk on VIP tiers and paid memberships and the Cashback as store credit rule under Earning points have a new Expire the cashback credit switch. Turn it on and set Days the credit stays usable: 180 days to start with, counted from the day each credit is issued. Off, which stays the default, the credit never expires.

Shopify enforces it. Charm issues the credit with its expiry date and Shopify removes whatever is left of it on that day, so the deadline holds at checkout without anything to run on your side. A refund that comes after the credit has expired leaves the customer's balance alone, as there is nothing left to take back.

Customers know the date. The Store credit earned email adds a "Valid until" line under the amount, and the perk reads "5% back as store credit, valid for 180 days" on every surface that lists it.
